UKUVibre - Ukulele workshops in Ljubljana - Mladi zmaji Bežigrad

Come join us for festive ukulele workshops for young people, where we will welcome Christmas with music, singing, and good cheer in a relaxed and creative atmosphere!

The ukulele—a magical four-stringed instrument from sunny Hawaii—is the perfect companion for anyone who wants to step into the world of music. Its basic chords are easy to learn, making it very beginner-friendly, while also offering plenty of room for creativity and progress. The challenge of rhythm and playing in a group brings us together, strengthens our perseverance, and fills our souls with music and joy.

Together, we will discover how fun it is to play your first chords and songs. All you need is a little good will. You can bring your own ukulele or borrow one at the workshop.

To learn the basics of playing and tuning the instrument before the workshops, you can watch mini ukulele tutorials.

The workshop is led by Tajana No Stres, an exclusive ukulele artist for the Slovenian music brand Flight, one of the world's leading ukulele brands, and a driving force behind the preservation and spread of ukulele culture in Slovenia. She has been inspiring beginners throughout Slovenia for years with her energetic and entertaining ukulele workshops. In 2024, she was invited to the United States, where she conducted workshops at two ukulele festivals—Mighty Uke Day (Michigan) and Ashokan Uke Fest (New York).
